Detailed Information:
Lamp Care & Operation Do's & Don'ts: DO have the motion lamp at room temperature before starting. DO allow the lamp to warm up for four to six hours to insure it performs at its optimal level. DO operate lamp on flat and stationary surfaces which are at room temperature. DO keep lamp and cord out of reach of small children's and pets. DO use only a 40 watt, 120 volt, type A15 frosted appliance/ceiling fan bulb to replace a burned out light bulb. DO handle the glass globe with extreme care. The globe may break if dropped, knocked over or subject to any form of sudden impact. If it becomes necessary to clean up broken glass, then use care and sufficient safety precautions. (Refer to Clean Up Instructions) DO check to see if the light bulb and socket in the base are completely centered and tightened. The light bulb and socket may have moved during shipping. If this has occurred, then gently use your fingers to re-center it. Before touching the lamp, make sure it is cool and unplugged. DO exercise caution when handling the lamp when it is plugged in. It takes 2 or 3 hours for the lamp to cool once it is turned off. DO realize that if your particular lamp has a ceramic base, then the base will retain heat. If the lamp is running too hot, then lower the setting on the adjustable dimmer switch.
DON'T place the lamp near sources of heat or cold, such as a heater or air conditioner. The lamp operates best at temperatures between 21C/68F to 23C/72F. DON'T move or shake the lamp while it is HOT; doing so may cause it to permanently malfunction. DON'T operate or store the lamp in direct sunlight; doing so may cause the colors to fade. DON'T try to force the polarized plug into an outlet. As a safety precaution, one blade on the plug is wider than the other and can only be inserted one way into an outlet. DON'T remove the CAP on the globe or add any fluids or solids to the lamp: ALL WARRANTIES ARE VOID IF THE GLOBE HAS BEEN OPENED. DON'T operate the lamp on Glass Surfaces. DON'T operate the lamp for more than 10 Hours at a time.
